Zero Turn Advice

I'll just second Gary's advice to the letter. If you follow his recommendations, it doesn't matter the color of the paint, the mower will be the same for all practical purposes.

I have not personally used a Zero Turn - but I have been around many of them because I do work for people who do use them.

Some swear by Exmark, JD, Kubota and a few other names I cannot think of right now. (Some swear at these same names)

Some time back there was a discussion about mowers on one of the forums I use (it could have been this one) where a very experienced user said that after 20+ years of spending almost every day, all day, on a ZTR - he said that the only one he would recommend, partly for comfort and partly for performance, is the Grasshopper brand. He said that the position of the deck to the rest of the machine made for a much smoother ride.

On the other hand, if it is speed you are looking for - you might consider a Dixie Chopper - not only are they "The Worlds Fastest Lawn Mower", some models use stainless steel and hold up rather well.

Dixie choppers aren't the worlds fastest lawn mower, but they do have the heaviest duty frame that I have seen. The Stainless steel is limited to a fender covering. I think all of the professional grade ZTRs are about equal. I really like the front deck grasshopper, but I also like the more compact regular ZTR.
