How long have you been a member of TractorByNet?
June 2013… I think through an online search about tractors after purchasing my BX25D!

What do you like best about TractorByNet?
I really appreciate the vast knowledge and humor coming from the TBN gang. I never expected so much great assistance on anything related and the patience too with newbies!

What type of tractors do you own?
Kubota BX25D, JD Garden Tractor

How long have you owned or operated tractors?
Not including lawn tractors, about 5 months, otherwise about 25 years.

What do you enjoy most about tractors?
It takes DIY to a whole new level and the joy of moving heavy stuff all over the property. Best yet—saving my aching back!

How often do you use your tractor?
At least every weekend and if I can steal some time during the week, I jump on it too. I put just over 100 hours on it since June.

Tell us about your property:
About 1.5 acres of very steep sloping view property, one house, and a detached garage.

Tell us about your vehicles: I own a 2006 Ford F150 4×4.

What sort of modifications or customization have you done to your tractor?
Piranha tooth bar, rear and mid skid plates, wheel spacers—oh, and a Kubota steering wheel spinner. I also have aux LED lights coming soon, on order.

What sort of tools, attachments or equipment do you use with your tractor on a regular basis?
I have a back blade and rake but haven’t had a chance to use them yet but will do so this winter for a long community gravel driveway. Backhoe just came off!

What do you mainly use your tractor for?
Landscaping, retaining walls, terracing and burning piles, moving gravel, dirt, digging trenches, and garbage moves. Also, road maintenance to come this winter.

Do you keep livestock?
Nope. Just deer, bear, coyote, and occasional fox that visit.

What do you like/dislike about the area you live in?
A little too gray and rainy but when the sun shines here, it is glorious. Lots of green and the saltwater for shellfish.

What sort of terrain is common in your area?
Hills, evergreen trees and lots of growth.

What sort of trees and vegetation are common in your area?
Cedars, firs, maples, hemlocks, alders, wild rhododendrons, blackberries, and weeds!

What’s something most TractorByNet members don’t know about you?
I am just a normal guy with a mechanical engineering degree and now lucky to have a great job that allows me to travel the world and not work behind a desk very often.

What are some of your other hobbies? Photography, woodworking, wine drinking.

  • How do you like the piranha tooth bar? does it actually allow you to dig with the loader?
