Tractor Make & Model: John Deere 4110

How long have you been a member of TractorByNet.com? How did you find the site? I have been a member since July of 2003. I came to TBN while searching out which tractor I wanted to buy and how much to pay for it.
What do you like best about TractorByNet.com? The vast knowledge/diversity of it’s members and the wealth of information that is stored at TBN.
What type of tractor(s) do you own? Currently a John Deere 4110 CUT, looking for an older JD possibly to restore in the next few years.
How long have you owned or operated tractors? I have owned my JD 4110 since June of 2004, and had owned a couple small L&G tractors before that. I have operated all kinds of equipment though for as long as I can remember-like backhoes, excavators, tractors, trenchers, truck cranes, boom/bucket trucks, forklifts.
I remember well my first tractor experience when I was about 10 years at my Cousin’s small hobby farm one summer, bailing/raking hay and driving over to the neighbor’s diary farm to get fresh milk every morning before breakfast. I learned to drive a Farmall (Model “M” I think) tricycle tractor raking.
What do you enjoy most about tractors? I love all things mechanical, and I enjoy the power of all mechanical things. I like the tractor because it helps me get things done quickly and easily.
How often do you use your tractor? Usually at least once a week, often more in the summer. With all the snow we had this winter I used it a lot!
Tell us about your property (how much acreage, home, buildings, etc): I have 2.36 acres, about 1 acre is currently wooded-the other cleared for the house/yard. I built out house 6 years ago myself, it’s a 5000 sqft two story colonial. This past winter we built a 24’x36’ pole barn for a storage building.
Tell us about your vehicles (trucks, trailers, ATVs, etc.): My truck is a ’92 Ford F250HD 7.3L Turbo Diesel that I have owned since new, My daily driver is a ’96 Buick Park Avenue that I bought for a song…My wife drives a Toyota minivan. Last year we bought a 2000 JD Turf Gator to play with.
Do you have any pets? Tell us about them: No pets. We are always on the go with 3 kids and sports/activities, I don’t think it’s fair to any animal to not be home so much.
What sort of modifications or customization have you done to your tractor? Lights on the ROPS, rear remotes, front remotes.
What sort of tools, attachments or equipment do you use with your tractor on a regular basis? Tell us about them: Most used are the MMM, Grapple, and 3PH Chipper. I use a sprayer I built every spring for weed control. I also use forks that I built often on the loader. Snowplow in the winter.
What do you mainly use your tractor for? Grass cutting, snow removal, brush moving, transportation to the neighbors…
What do you like/dislike about the area you live in? It is very crowded, I wanted to move further into the “country” but wifey wouldn’t do it…I got her as far away from her family as I dared!
What’s something most TractorByNet members don’t know about you?
No college-barley got out of high-school! Probably most don’t know that I am only 40 years old. I grew up quickly with a disabled mother and no father around. I had to learn about life quickly to survive. I have worked hard and bought everything I have-no charity accepted here.

Do you maintain crops? For hobby or agricultural purpose? Which crops? No crops, not enough acreage or sun-I have lots of tree’s.
Do you keep livestock? Tell us about it: No livestock either…
