HOUSTON, TX (November 19, 2013) – Mahindra USA, during its National Dealer Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee, made donations to several local organizations. Future Farmers of America, Thistle Farms and the Nashville Adult Literacy Council all received donations from Mahindra and its dealer network as part of its commitment to drive positive change in the communities in which they do business. These three Tennessee charities were selected based on their contributions to the community and the impact each has on the lives they touch.

Dennis Tweed, President of Kodiak Mfg, Inc., a long-time partner of Mahindra USA, funds three FFA scholarships and is a sponsor of the Tennessee State Agricultural Mechanics Repair & Maintenance Proficiency Awards. This contest recognizes students for developing specialized skills they can apply toward their future careers. Kodiak provides one scholarship for each of these Tennessee schools: Walker Valley HS in Charleston TN, Bradley Central HS in Cleveland TN, and Meigs County HS in Decatur TN.

“As part of the Mahindra Rise philosophy we actively seek out opportunities to give back to our community. While hosting the National Dealer Meeting in Nashville, we became invested in a city that epitomizes the Rise philosophy by coming back even stronger after the devastating floods that impacted the area. These organizations are making a difference and it is right to help where we can,” said Cleo Franklin, Vice President, Marketing and Strategic Planning, Mahindra USA. “Mahindra is the number one selling tractor in the world and we have earned that position by helping drive positive change in the communities that we live in.”

In addition to a corporate donation, the dealer network also supported the charitable contributions with donations and by participating in a silent auction during their meetings.
