John Deere 50 Series Compact Utility Tractors (1978-1998)
Not one to rest on their laurels, after Kubota’s arrival on U.S. soil, John Deere got to work on a machine that would offer big tractor features in a compact size.
The 50 series included models from a 14.5 PTO horsepower 650 to the 33-horsepower 1050.
John Deere’s gear drive 50 series models were later complimented by the 55 series hydrostatic drive models.
