Clutch Replacement John Deere 3130

Looking at a John Deere 3130....Any advice
I've done some reading. Seems like they have some hydraulic issues. The seller tells me the hi/lo is working. The tach and hour meter aren't. Brakes work. Apparently it runs good, doesn't...- LondonDave

John Deere 3130 Oil Leak ?
Seen oil dripping heavy from on the bottom of the starter, it is possible that it could be coming from a loose starter bolt?- Diamond C

Coming On Board
Model Year: 1980
Hey all. I own a demolition, salvage company that incorporates a JD 3130 with 158 loader for all the heavy stuff. Great tractor, great workhorse. We are out of Isaalle, Ontario, Canada, but do work anywhere and whatever seasons we're in. The tractor has lifted huge JD combines onto trailers and found old horse drawn plows buried in years of dirt and as well as taking down barns and buildings. The tractor was recommended to me when the work got heavy as we were employing an old Ford Jubilee with loader that quickly became too small for us. The Ford is now for sale to a good home. When the time comes, I will be buying another JD tractor but will probably look to a size up. If anyone wishes to discuss our farm property salvage and reclamation programs feel free, we always enjoy talking about what we do.
Pros: Powerful enough yet a breeze to operate and teach new employees.
Cons: Haven't found any.
