John Deere 6603 A/C question
Had to remove a line from the a/c system on my 6603. I am replacing the dryer before reassembling the system. Can someone tell me how much pag oil I need to add back to assure proper lubrication...- pnhigg

I'm considering the purchase of a 2007 JD 6603. I have no experience with this tractor. Has anyone used one? What's the good, bab, and ugly?- cwcurry

Model Year: 2004
The 6603 is just a good basic tractor. The only thing extra on it is four wheel drive. It is open station with no cab, but it does a great job of running my baler, mower and rake. Have plowed and used a disk with it. My brother has a JD 4430 and my 6603 will pull with it. He has a 2 wheel drive. Only repair other than regular maintenance was a fuel gauge sending unit. That was replaced under warranty by the dealer. They came to my farm and did work here with no cost to me. I would buy it again given the choice.
Pros: Simple to use. Starts very easy, usually with only 1 or 2 turn of the engine
Cons: A bit tall for an older man to climb on the platform.
