Model Year: 1983

I bought this tractor out of a salvage yard, it had only one front wheel, no lift arms, no fenders, no lift and power steering pumps and a lot of other things missing. The yard owner said if I bought it for $2000 he would round up the missing parts to go with the tractor. Within a couple of weeks I had all the parts and put together, in a couple more weeks I bought a Bushhog $1300, a year latter a $6000 loader, bucket, quick detach adapter and a set of forks. Been running fine ever since, Haven't had any problems at all, 20 years now, bought another one a month ago, a Ford 1700, building the engine at this time, all I can say about it so far is parts are very expensive, I'll update when I know more. Thanks David J

Pros: all good
Cons: nothing yet???

Not the Allis Chalmers of Old When They Were Built in the USA
Model Year: 1986

My uncle advised me not to buy this tractor but I talked to some of the locals here in Northern California and was told that it was most likely a pretty good tractor for the money. Turned out to be a real lemon. It leaks from every gasket surface, the 3 point bobs up and down and will actually hurt your lower back if you drive it while it is bucking as it does. The front loader is driven by a very small rotary pump on the PTO and won't pick up more than 500 pounds. It also leaks down immediately when you shut the engine off. I haven't found a single redeeming feature on this tractor that is worth mentioning.

Pros: None.
Cons: Not worth the time, money or effort to maintain.

Has been a good rugged reliable machine, is beginning to have some issues. In particular, the hydraulic system (3-point hitch).

Pros: Dependable and strong.
Cons: A little awkward and slow.

Model Year: 1977

Purchased this tractor 3/2/2014. Have not really used it to date. For the little things I have done, I like it, but then again I am comparing it to my John Deere 1050 which I really am not that fond of.

Pros: Well built.
Cons: Too early to say.
