CT122 Bobcat
I like my Bobcat
Model Year: 2009

Purchased new Bobcat CT122 HST while they were having their big sale. Free FEL and $3500 off. Also got a MMM. Have put on a 100 hrs. w/no problems. Some people complain of no power in high range, but I have not had a problem. I highly recommend.

Pros: Good power, nice mowing, strong FEL.
Cons: Paint was not the best.

CT122 Bobcat
Work Horse
Model Year: 2009

I purchased the tractor new in mid 2009 with a front loader for home improvement projects on 4 acres. I live in Connecticut and the rocky, rough terrain is tough on equipment. I have worked this machine hard and it has performed flawlessly. For the money, this was absolutely the best in its class when I purchased it. I feel like I should have bought two more.

Pros: Very reliable, easy to use and is small enough to maneuver through tight areas.
Cons: Feels slightly underpowered at times, but yet lifts anything that fits into bucket. A tighter turning radius would be a plus.

Bobcat CT 122

Before purchasing this tractor, I did as much research as I could on line. I was looking at the Bobcat CT 122 and the Kubota 2320. There wasn't a lot about the CT 122 on line, besides what the company puts out. I also looked at any reviews on the Kioti CK20 since it's the same tractor. I drove both the Bobcat and Kubota first. One big difference was that Bobcat allowed me to go out and play with the tractor first. They gave me the keys, directed me out back and told me to play as long as I wanted. I moved earth, back dragged, and tried it on different hills. With the Kubota I was able to drive it around the parking lot. I found the Bobcat to be built much stronger. The Kubota was faster with a three range hydrostactic transmission rather than a two range the Bobcat has. The Kubota was smoother, but it's bucket was made out of very thin metal. It looked like it would bend easily. The Bobcat was a bigger, heaver, and stronger machine. I have nothing against Kubotas, I own a Kubota L35 and love it. The Bobcat was also $1,200 less. Since having the Bobcat I have only put 8 hours on it, but that's not too bad for a weekend. It pushes and lifts better than I thought it would. It's slower than I had hoped for. Most of what I'm going to be doing with it is plowing snow and grading a road. I'll also use it in and around the barn of our horse farm. The L35 is to large to fit in the barn.

Pros: Price, size, maneuverability, & ruggedness.
Cons: It's slow. It has a hard time going up any size hill in high gear. Fuel efficiency is no where never other 22HP tractors I have owned or driven.

Rough Around the Edges! Understatement!
Model Year: 2011

Love it. Hate it. Work it. Like it. Want it. Wish it. Make it. Made it. Mind it. What is it really? All mixed emotions on it! In general I'm happy with the machine, but it could've easily been a much better story! Watch this space for more detail to come

Pros: Lift capacity both loader & 3PL.
Cons: Under powered for gearing.

My Bobcat Tractor
Model Year: 2010

I have a bobcat ct122 its a 22 horse power diesel and I love it. Last year we got hit with over 2 foot of snow over night and I plowed for 12 hours straight I pulled out 3 plow trucks 1/2 ton pickups with plows no problem. The tractor had no problem it plowed the 2 and 1/2 foot of snow no problem. Its the best investment ever. Its great to have in times of need like that. But I use the tractor all year round. I have a 54 in. Mid mount mower and its awesome. I would definitely purchase this tractor if your looking for a good strong compact tractor.

Pros: Everything about it.
Cons: There are none.

Bobcat CT122
Model Year: 2009

I've never owned a piece of equipment like this before and it was an impulsive purchase but one of the best I have ever made. My tractor came with a loader and I purchased an aftermarket Land Pride finish mower for mowing 4-5 acres of fairly hilly terrain. I also use the loader for clearing snow off my fairly long driveway. I have no complaints about this machine and have had zero problems with it. I'd like to upgrade to a larger model within the next couple years and will definitely get another Bobcat.

Pros: Well built and good value.
Cons: I just wish I bought a bigger one.

CT122 Bobcat
My First Cut
Model Year: 2010

First I learned quickly that a tractor just does not climb hills like an atv. but I think this tractor needs a third range. I also feel the HST location is awkward for a 6'5" man. This is the same for me on any tractor of this size with a rocker pedal. Everything else is awesome. great tractor overall. Also has a FEL and I really like it. Built a heated cab for it and love it even more. Totally recommend this tractor.

Pros: Price, features, color, power.
Cons: Needs a third range for mowing hilly areas.

I mow 5 acres and plow a 300 foot long driveway and haven't had any problems with the tractor itself. The mower deck (mid mount) has been another issue. The rear stabilizer arms have repeatedly dropped off. I finally took the hitch pins that came with it and threw them away and replaced all of them. Since that I haven't had any problems. One of the arms was damaged when it came off. Took 'til snow season before the dealer got me a replacement.

Pros: Reliability, power.
Cons: Mid mount mower.

Great Tractor
Model Year: 2012

I love this tractor fixed driveway with 7 ft. back blade. Pulled down tulip tree roots and all. Plenty of power in this tractor. It weighs 2300 pounds dry when using back blade. I get bucket full of dirt put into 4wd. It a little work horse. Also got a 5 ft brush hog to mow field works awesome. I am looking for a backhoe attachment.

Pros: Great tractor.
Cons: None.

Bobcat CT122
Model Year: 2013

I've had my new tractor for about 3 weeks. I sold my CT230 since I am done with the heavy work of clearing property, built house & garage, removed lots of trees, etc. Now I need a smaller tractor just for grounds maintenance, snow removal, etc. I bought the Bobcat CT122 with FEL. I have added a 50" front mount snowblower so I don't have to drive backwards for 3 point snow removal. I also have a 5' backblade, 5' brush hog, 5' disc, befco posthole digger and 5' rake. The CT122 handles all of these attachments rather well. I added 2 front facing LED flood lights to assist during the snowblowing and 1 LED flood light to the rear for obvious reasons. I look forward to my winter work and will give an update on the snow removal. So far so good! I would like to add a cab, but they are expensive. I may try to construct one myself as time allows.

Pros: Solid frame. Adjustable seat. Instrument cluster. ROPS.
Cons: None so far!
