CT450: Good Workhorse That Could Use Minor Improvments
Model Year: 2009
Bought tractor new with loader, used for PTO work, and pull 2 yard scraper, loader work.In the 530 hrs I have replaced seven hyd. lines that crack in the 90 deg bend when using PTO 6-8hrs a day at PTO RPM. Down time was a bummer to find the next line, so made up my own line with hose to get rid of pump pulsations. Am told I am the only one having this problem, my question to Bobcat was this tractor designed for PTO work? If I leave tractor out on a damp or rainy day starter won't engage on key. If it weren't for the hyd. problem I would have no complaints, Hydrostatic drive is great on a snow blower. Small item, but the light and signal switch needs to have handle turned in not out, always hitting sw handles with knee upon entry of tractor. My next tractor will have cab with heat and air.
Pros: Price, hydro drive system, operator station space.
Cons: Hyd. line failures, electrical start problems, poor disign of hyd. levers as they are to low for grown up operators.
