The Case 930
Model Year: 1976
Since I'm 80 and trying retire more or less, we sold out most of the equipment but I kept the Case 980, a Farmall H and an Oliver 88. I use the Case on the snow blower, a McKee 720 in winter, help my son with his field work in the spring and again in fall. This tractor is a powerhouse, I pulled 5 18's usually, or an IHC 18 foot disc. it has straight gears, a clutch and no auto-tranny or any of this troublesome machinery. The power steering works great, brakes are good, the 3-point works fine. Mine has a cab, a nice seat, radio and CB radio. it's a good solid old tractor and will do the job in it's size category. It just runs on and on, all I've ever done is change filters & oil. I paid 4 grand for it, never regretted it. This Case was one of seven tractors we used when active with corn & beans here in central MN.
Pros: Good solid machine, simple and not too hard to maintain.
Cons: The PTO turns all the time. Probably just an adjustment.
