Bought an Ugly Duckling and Found a Swan!
Model Year: 1964
I bought the old tractor for the loader it had on it, it looked pretty rough. I thought it was ready for Abilene Machine to be parted out. We were baling hay two summers ago, and my Case/IH 1594 clutch went out, what to do? Well I hooked up the baler to the old 706 and it baled 100 5x6 round bales. What a find, best tractor I have owned. Have had JD 2010, 4010, 2640, and a Case/IH/David Brown 1594 POS.
Pros: Bought and ugly duckling, and found a swan.
Cons: Nothing.
