New to me New Holland 1220 HST
Model Year: 1997
I recently purchased a NH 1220. The build, design and reliability speak for themselves, as I'm sure the previous owner did little other than change the battery and turn the key! I got it with a five foot blade, a Ford 914A MMM of 60" and two sets of wheels/tires (turf and Ag). $4,000usd. I wish it had some remote hyd. As it's too expensive to add it now. ~$1,000. After changing the oils and filters I've pulled some small stumps and smoothed a few rough spots. It will be a great mower/bush hog, wagon puller, middle buster plowing and trenching...I do intend to try some semi-serious digging with it using a scoop! I think it will provide a lot of landscape type work for the future. This will also be the first tractor experience for some new to farming. Kind of a smaller unit to teach them to drive a tractor.
Pros: Ford---parts are very generic and readily available.
Cons: None. When I buy used, I expect to have to take care of a few things.
