Good Long-Term Choice
Model Year: 2005
This JD 5105 all-wheel drive tractor has been an excellent choice. It has done everything from uprooting trees, mowing to road building on our property. It is tough and has only had a few mechanical issues since new, one of which was my fault from over-stressing a 3-point hitch pin on the rear. A new part took care of that. The only thing that I did not get with this tractor was an auto-tracking 3-point hitch to adjust for uneven terrain when mowing. Otherwise it has been just what we needed.
Pros: Overall durability.
Cons: Drivers seat is coming apart.
