One Owner RX75 Still Runs Like The Day I Got It
Model Year: 1992
I bought this mower in the spring of 1992. I have roughly 7,000 square feet of grass and mow once per week. It has a bagger, so I also use it to suck up leaves in the fall, and I transfer firewood with it in an 8 cubic foot John Deere made trailer that is older than the mower. This mower has been absolutely trouble free. It is now February 2016 and I have replaced exactly 1 belt 3-4 years ago and last year bought a new starter. New batteries have been bought roughly 4 years apart. Its balanced Kawasaki 9-horsepower engine is non-filtered, but I change the oil often. The only performance issue is the 30-inch single blade spins slower, so use a high lift blade and don't let your grass get too long. It pulls a lot of weight easily for it's size. If you find one of these you can't go wrong for smaller properties. I'm keeping it to see how long it will go, out of curiosity.
Pros: Bullet proof even the belts last forever
Cons: Single blade lift can be marginal when bagging overgrown lawns and heavy leaf debris so you have to slow down a little, use a high lift blade
