LS J2030H Review
Model Year: 2013
I bought this tractor used from a guy that owned it for 6 months before deciding to move into town. It had 89 hours on it and 4 1/2 yrs warranty left. I paid $10K for it. It has a 27 HP Mitsubishi 3cyl diesel. Also has FEL I also bought his 5 ft county line rotary cutter that was 2 mo. old for $600 and a Howse 4 ft box blade for $275. So far I've been very impressed. This is my first tractor. If anyone is in question, this is the EXACT same tractor New Holland sells as a Boomer 25. Only difference is the FEL. I have only put about 6 hours on it. I've done about 4 hours of heavy brush cutting, some of it 6 foot tall. It never batted an eye at it. It has more than enough power for a 5 foot cutter. As with any tractor, watch your engine temp and radiator screen when brush cutting. I had to clean mine off 10 times in 3 hrs because of little fluffy seeds. I have only done a few passes with the box blade (570' rock driveway). It handled it fine. I have done some lifting with the loader. No real material moving. I lifted my 600ish LB weight box out of my truck with ease. I'm currently adapting a 6 1/2 foot western plow blade to a homemade manual angle assembly to attach to the loader bucket. Hoping to plow my drive with it. My only complaint so far is it doesn't have the position sensing 3pt hitch. The control is just up and down and you have to stop it where u want it. I couldn't ask for any more HP in a tractor of its size. As I said, it's my first tractor, I don't have much to compare it to but so far I'm very happy with my decision.
Pros: Price, warranty, HP.
Cons: No position control on 3PH.
