Pleased with the LS G3038H So Far
Model Year: 2012
Let me start off with that I had been looking at upgrading for several years from my old 80's vintage Kubota. I spent a ton of time looking at newer used tractors and really could not find exactly what I wanted which was a solid dependable tractor that could pull a 6' shredder and blade, FEL, and had HST in a reasonable price range. Then, by accident, I saw an ad where a gentleman locally was selling his existing Yanmar for a larger one and he mentioned that the new one was an LS from RCO Tractor in Texas. I was curious so I pulled up the RCO site and started looking at the LS. I was pretty amazed, for only a few grand more than the used tractors I was looking at, I could get a new tractor that based on the research was quite a value based on the new tractors from other mainline brands. It also surprised me that LS had been building tractors for other mainline brands, and it reminded me of when Kubota first started being marketed here in the US. I was very pleased with the patience shown by the RCO Tractor team with my endless questions about what I wanted to purchase, and speaking to my concerns with purchasing a tractor from a dealer 130 miles away from my place. I did a ton of research on the forums here and decided to give RCO and LS a try. So far I am glad I did. The G3038H is the perfect combination of what I needed here on my 12 acres. I configured it with the HST, FEL, a 6' Howse shredder, a 6' Box Blade, and an Ardvark Diamond plate aluminum Sun canopy. Delivery took less than ten business days. For my first weekend, I have been shredding very deep pasture. The G3038H has plenty of power to shred. the FEL has been great, having used it to also move some dirt, break down some branches to push through to parts of my pasture that were overgrown, and with the HST, My wife has also been able to shred with it quite effectively. Operator position and controls are well thought out and easy to use. I only have about ten hours so far, but I am favorably impressed with the performance, build quality and ease of use.
Pros: HST works great! Plenty of power, 4wd is great when needed.
Cons: Needs a cupholder and tool box
, Otherwise perfect.
