Our family bought this tractor because it was priced more in our budget range. The conclusion is: you really get what you paid for. If you really want to use your machines and actually farm and actually lift/dig, then this is not the tractor for you. Things break super easily because it was made poorly. Given the fact that things break super easily, the warranty is pretty bad. Mahindra dealers aren't knowledgeable and only find ways to keep paying. If you want a good, sturdy, and working tractor, don't go near a Mahindra. Save a little more to buy a good tractor.

Pros: Not as expensive as other brand tractors
Cons: Breaks easily

Bad Choice

I have had numerous problems, ie. tractor would only go in reverse, dealer could not repair and at 10 hrs since new, they replaced it with another new tractor. Tractor creeps forward at idle in forward gears---DANGEROUS. Recently would not start, they replaced computer, cost me $1,900 after warranty credit. Out of 7 tractors I have owned, I place this tractor in the miserable category. Arguing with the factor reps, refusal of the reps to return calls, etc. Bottom line I feel this tractor is under engineered. I would never purchase another of this brand again.

Pros: It is only good for mowing.
Cons: The front bucket is oversized for the tractor, dangerous.

This 5010HST Cab unit replaced my open seat Montana HST which replaced my Kioti. I wanted and needed more power and I wanted to get in out of the weather for a change. Had a very BIG Hydraulic leak after 12 hours of seat time. Not happy that I had a problem with the tractor. The up side is that my local dealer came picked up the tractor in the morning and had it back to me that same afternoon.

Pros: Lots of power. Cab is really nice
Cons: Only 1 rear remote valve and rear wiper is an extra.

Mahindra 5010 Cab/Hst

I purchased the Mahnidra 5010 based on value, industry quality reputation and lack of tractors of this size manufactured in the United States. The 5010 stacks up very well against all brands of similar size, including price. After several months of research, phone calls, and visits to dealers, I narrowed my decision between Massey and Mahindra. I went with Mahindra, as it simply added more value, with more tractor. However, it took many emails and phone calls to dealers, in order to compare "apples to apples" with regards to specifications. The manufactures represent specifications very differently, and creatively, although it may not seem so. Look closely. Time and due diligence are required to truly compare manufactures. The 5010 is manufactured in Korea,  (which is better than china). I'm using the tractor with the bucket, woods box blade and 60' CA grapple attachment, to clear wooded land, tree removal, drive way installation, snow removal, along with many more task.   I will add a woods BH90 once woods has the sub frame complete to fit the 5010. I'm very impressed with the engine and hydraulic power. With only 50 hours, I can't report to the reliability, just yet, however I have lifted, pushed pulled, large logs, trees and cut roads through the woods with no hesitation. I have been in the manufacturing business for 15 years, I can see the tractor is built well, at a high level of quality. However, there are a couple of issues: A/C had an issue, loose hoses knocked off wires, which caused it to quit, and it has trouble keeping up due to heat being generate through the floor. Mahindra has acknowledge the issues, and my dealer has assured me it will be resolved. I suspect an insulated floor pad and wrap will solve the problem. I will follow up with more details, regarding the performance of my dealer and Mahindra, with this issue, as well as more feedback on the tractor as I get more time in it.

Pros: Power.
Cons: A/C / Floor Heat.
