Will Not Start When It Is Cold/Slips Gear When It Get Hot
Model Year: 2012
Purchased March 23 2012; April 15 2012. Starting to see major problems. Reported it to dealership at first they wanted to argue with me, had to call factory to get them to listen. April 25,2012, found a factory defect. First complaint: gets hot and would only work in high gear or not at all. Found no springs in clutch, corrections, put new shuttle shift assembly in, also r&r counter shaft rear/gear/spacer/bush replacement. Second complaint: leaking hydraulic oil rear housing hole inside case corrections, replace hydraulic lift unit assembly. Had my new Mahindra for only two weeks when theses problems showed up. Then they had it for two weeks to repair it. Not good when they advertize the number one selling tractor in the world push more pull more do more. Plus they had to bring in a person from Texas to over see the work. Third complaint: PTO switch stops working on June 22, 2012, hay is down cannot get baler to run without it. Corrections had to get a new pto switch. Forth complaint will not start when it's sold 30 degrees and below called dealership and factory they said bad diesel, fuel change, fuel, and new fuel filter. So I did it all myself and still will not start when it is cold. So I had to buy a heater block for it, plus cover it up with two heavy furniture movers blankets and pray that it will start. For I purchased a new tractor for my farm to work the farm animals have to feed ever day, hay has to put up ditches to be dug snow to be removed and when a Mahindra will not start or move how can I get my chores accomplished? Now I wished I never ever would have bought this tractor. All it has done for me is take years off my life and I still have 8 more years to pay for it. It has caused me so much trouble and it is brand new. Now I want to trade it off for another tractor and nobody wants to deal with it, not even the dealership I bought it from. They will not trade up with me because they have issues with my tractor that they sold me! Call factory they said I need to go to another dealership that is 80 miles away. Does that seem fair to you? I'm sad, upset, lost, confused, sick, and I do not know what to do. I have a farm to run and no reliable tractor to do it. I am 52 and a woman and this purshase of this tractor was to be my final big purchase that I would be able to make in my life, and now I have payments to the bank for another seven years on a piece of equipment that is not reliable or safe.
Pros: Works good when it starts.
Cons: Will not start when it is cold, slips gears when it gets hot.
