During the early years of world war 2, most men working in agriculture were drafted for the Armed forces, creating a necessity to mechanize agriculture quickly. In Brantford (Ontario) the Massey-Harris factory was building farm tractors, using American built engines. Although the design was not up to date (they lacked the Ferguson system hydraulic hitch) the Massey-Harris tractors were reliable and sturdy. Due to a lack of male workers, the company employed a lot of women. Even now, 73 years after, you can see that the tractor was built with great care (female hands) the electrical system, no matter how rudimentary, is still original and still working fine! For the rest: a beautiful toy, collectors item and hobby.

Pros: Piece of Canadian farming history, sturdy and reliable tractor.
Cons: No hydraulics.
