All Purpose Machine
Model Year: 2010
We live in a remote area and wanted a tractor that was simple and reliable. The Yanmar 453 meets this need very well. At 45 hp it has enough power for our needs and being a small tractor is very maneuverable. We use a number of attachments including a ripper, 1.5m slasher, front end loader (with 2 buckets, bale forks, pallet forks), grader blade and a 3 tine subsoiler plough. The machine is economical and very easy to drive. 3 ratios with a 3 speed gearbox coupled with shuttle shift between forward and reverse is a good combination.
Pros: Compact, economical, 9 speeds with shuttle.
Cons: A little light.

Nice Little Tractor
Model Year: 2009
This is a nice little utility tractor. Well made, and reliable, it is what I expected from a Japanese made tractor. The light weight has good and bad points, and the after market (Australian distributor supplied) 4 in 1 bucket could be a bit more robust.
Pros: Quality.
Cons: Light weight hampers some applications.
