Great Tractor - Dealer Service Seriously Lacking

I bought my tractor from Josef Tractor, an online sales rep for VN Tractors in Dallas. My initial purchase was of a large Hinomoto that quickly fell apart. After two days in the dealer's shop they finally agreed to exchange my tractor for a Yanmar FX26D. What a break for me. My Yanmar has been nothing short of superb. It is powerful for a small tractor and I have literally worked it to death over the last 7 1/2 years. I have bent the front loader trying to push over trees much too large to be moved with a tractor so small in stature. The front loader bent but the tractor never faltered. I have had trouble finding parts on only one occasion. A "friend" borrowed my tractor in the middle of the Texas summer, ran it out of coolant and then poured cold water into a steaming engine. As might be expected the head cracked and I was unable to obtain a replacement. Neither the sales outlet nor VN Tractors was any help in getting the repair accomplished. I finally found a company in Nevada, Iowa that welded it. The repair was completed 4 years ago and my Yanmar is still rockin' and rollin'. About 6 months ago the front wheel drive stopped working and I foolishly took it back to VN Tractor for repairs. I later learned that the repair they did was a simple adjustment and did not require the part they told me they installed. I would definitely recommend the Yanmar FX26D but would steer a wide berth around VN Tractor. This recommendation is strictly my opinion - others may have had differing results from this supplier.

Pros: Strong, easy shifting, built by Yanmar.
Cons: Rebuild done by VN Tractor was mostly cosmetic.
