Chug,
1*About the backhoe: I recently purchased a BX2350 but sort of wish I had gone for the BX24 (or?) with the backhoe. I suppose it depends on a lot of things. Every time I plant a 5 gal (or larger) tree or shrub, everytime I transplant an existing plant or have to take out even small stumps, I wish I had the backhoe.

2*I don't need a large backhoe for the things I have to do BUT a small backhoe would make my life MUCH easier.

3*I also need the three point hook up which can be "just another thing to do" when you need a box blade, brush hog, landscape rake and things that have to be attached to the back of the tractor.
1*I knew I would be going through all this If i went with the BX2230 so I took the BX23.
Best thing I ever did.
2*The BX23 has made mine a lot easier than the BX2230 would have.
3*That is where this third tractor comes in handy since the 3 point is almost always free . http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk286/lb59/100_2313.jpg
No need to take the BH off the this BX23
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk286/lb59/100_2321.jpg or the tiller off this tractor
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk286/lb59/100_2316.jpg
so I can use the 3 point.

Although LBrown59 mentions not having to take off the Backhoe it's really easy. But having 3 tractors would be nice too:D.

Unless money is no object get the BX24. I waited until I saw the specs on the B2620 and there was not enough difference to sway me. I also wanted a lighter tractor to not damage my grass. Your favorite thing by far will be the backhoe. Also get the BXpanded dolly...on and off in 1 minute.

Let's see... The B2620 has more ground clearance, more horsepower, more PTO horsepower, 3 range vs 2 range hydro, superior hydraulic pump, nearly 50% more lift capacity, etc. etc. I'd say there are many significant differences between these models that justify the price difference. The BX24 is a fine tractor though.

Totally agree. Not being bias as I own a 2620 also but all Evil mentions is true. I traded in a New Holland tz 25da (same exact tractor as the BX24/25) for this 2620. And after operating both although the NH was a nice little tractor there is a clear difference between the 2 and their capabilities and the extra money IMHO is deffinitly worth it.

Why pay the difference if you don't need the difference ?
I bought a BX23 because it was more than enough to do what i wanted to do so it didn't make no sense for me to buy the B2410 i was originally looking at.

I had read on these forums to "buy your second tractor first".

The suggestion was that the BX24 and B2620 differences are negligible. That is untrue.

Thanks everyone for your replies, still in a quandry though . I got it narrowed down to the 2660, BX24/25 or the 2320. The BX24/25 may be the way to go but it seems the 2320 could do more and has more options? I'll keep reading and researching as well as trying until the spring, hopefully I'll get it figured out by then!!!:D
