For those in firearms restricted environments a Blunder buss may be what is needed. It could be made at home from pipe and pipe fittings and other easily assembled items. The charging powder is also easily home made. :D

Now to make it a real room clearing weapon make a "Ducktail" version with multiple barrels!:D

Now I have never gone through the shoot or die type scenario but I do have relatives that been thru times of Domestic upheaval and it is a given fact they survived by being capable of adaptation to the situations at hand. If they had possessed the combined firepower of many weapons they would have perished!:D

In regards to people arming themselves . I think if guns were as plentyfull as mobile phones , it would be an easy source of guns for the bad guys . Instead of car jackings , you would have gun jackings . If a mugger grabbed you or a woman or a weaker target , even with a knife or a needle and said give me your gun . What would you do ? He's got the drop on you , you may as well be unarmed and now he's not .

In the rural areas of the U.S. guns are way more plentiful than mobile/cell phones. Funny how we have more guns than city people and a lower crime rate.

Just like the people that clamor about that approving CCW laws in an area will lead to shootouts in the street.. when in reality.. CCW holders are among the most law abiding citizens...

yet, in spite all of these facts, the gun grabbers are so bent on their own agenda, that logic and reason are completely ignored..........blows my mind:rolleyes:

Comparing city to rural ergonomics does a dis-service to guns.

I don't think that will happen here. There are too many people that believe it is their right to keep a firearm.

So you're advocating breaking the law if a new law is passed?

My guess is, if the government ever made it illegal to own a gun and then tried to collect them, there would be mass chaos and lots and lots of dead people.

Are you willing to die to break the law?

What about other laws that people don't agree with?

Just curious.

Nah, guns are not a politcal topic:D

IMHO.. for people with severly restricted or no gun rights.. it's hard for them to imagine that the average gun owner over here just doesn't own one single gun.. yet instead.. may own 3-6 or a dozen or 3 dozen or more..

You are probably correct.

You know, you go somewhere like the south side of D.C. and you know there is (was) a gun ban and you see all the shot out store fronts and signs and the gun crime rate is sky high.... and you just know that gun control does nothing at all to deter crime. ZERO. Then you look up statistics of how many law abiding citizens that own guns commit gun crimes and again you come up with a statistical ZERO.

If someone wants to own a firearm and carry it about their person legally, that does not bother me. I stand a much better chance of getting shot on my way to work by just being at the wrong place at the wrong time. However, I know in my heart that if someone saw me, looking the way I do, with a gun inside the back of my belt, but my shirt got stuck over it by accident.... that person would become real uneasy real fast. Heck, I scare myself most mornings just looking in the mirror, imagine if I had a gun, too.

So, I think concealed is the only way to go if you are going to carry, just for two reasons:

1. The public doesn't get all uneasy if they don't know you have a gun on you.
2. They still have to think twice because you may have a gun.

I'm saying a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. Sounds corny, but each man has his limits.

Are you willing to die to break the law?
Apparently I was when I was drinking but I'd have to take other peoples' word for it.

But in reality, it depends on the law. See above for each person having their limits.

What about other laws that people don't agree with?

Like the speed limit? 5 over on a nice day? Its illegal, but I'm a scoundrel. :D

I'm saying this is my opinion:

A total gun ban will most likely never get passed.
A handgun ban nationwide will most likely never get passed.
If one does, most people will not turn in their guns anyway.
If the government attempts to go house to house (which it never will, but let's discuss it anyway) to search for guns, lots of folks will get shot on both sides. I just don't think most Americans would give up their guns regardless of any law.

I agree with you that nationwide bans won't be passed in all liklihood.

I agree that if it was, the government would probably not go door to door to ask for the guns.

Where I will disagree is that being the law abiding citizens that legal gun owners are, that the majority would give up the guns or say that they were sold/lost/destroyed/etc and that there wouldn't be loss of life on both sides.

The more likely scenario is the extreme limitations put on gun ownership. I don't think that any supreme court would ever say that hunters, or people who say they want to hunt whether or not they do, can not have guns.

I do believe handguns and concealed permits may be severely restricted. Maybe not immediately, but I am planning on getting my concealed sooner rather than later, read before the 20th of January, so as not to take any chances. I figure it will be harder to take away once you have it.

yep.. I prefer concealed carry over open carry.. makes the criminals think twice.
