Snow BX FEL snow plow

I'd love to have a front mount plow for moving snow, but the price tag is a bit much....My FEL does so many more things; it was the best year-round option. I like the Curtis FEL mount plow also, but it doesn't look easy to quickly switch between plow and blade and also has a high price tag.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this before, but today I ran across the Johnny Plow Jr. Looks like it might be another option but for only about $1300 or so. Not sure if you could get them to make a BX mount or not, plus it would be better in a 54" or 60" size for a BX.

2*This is almost as much as I paid for the 60'' front blade for my BX1500 which I can also use on the BX23.
1*I looked into the JB plow for my CC GT 2554 but since it cost about as much as the Kubota 60 inch blade ran me I just bought the Kubota blade with a BX1500 on it and left the FEL on the BX23 for loader work.
The Kubota blade is much wider than the JB blade.
The Kubota blade is Hydraulic lift and angle.
The JB is electric lift and angle.

LB, where can I get a new Kubota front mount Hyd angle blade and quick hitch for $1300? I'll take it!

It was a few hundred bucks more than that.
I bought 2 tractors 2 MMMs
and a 48'' tiller to get that deal.
Don't figure u want to do that.

I am too, wondering on how yours is setup. I have a old truck plow i pciked up for free and i want to adapt it to the fel arms as well. the plow is not too heavy- i beleive its nearly the same wieght as the bucket. I saw someone else make a post recently on how he adapted it to his fel arms but it wasnt a BX. I am still pondering my options.

Radioman,

I went and dug out the truck plow from under the snow figured it might give you some ideas. There is a mount that broke off and the angle iron twisted, hence why Im looking for other options due to the weight of this plow.

Here is some pictures of the plow and mount, this pins on to the FEL arms and the center cylinder is unhooked and moved to that upper mount.

>>The 3 point blowers might be worth some more thought. Cheaper, handles deeper snow, easier to connect, allows you to use your FEL<<

This is the method I subscribe to. I like having the rear mounted snowblower, but there are times when the snow is too wet, and the blower can't quite hack it. It's nice to have the FEL to fall back on, especially when the snow banks get high. ;)
