Anyone have a BX2350 with cab or other type enclosure? Have done a searce and not come up with many. Can't afford the high priced ones. Any with soft cabs? Anyone with the Femco weatherbrake? That appears to be the cheapest, but also most open. Anyone with any of these and how do you like it and cost? thanks hjt

I am using the Femco weatherbreak and also the sun shade. I went ahead and added plexiglas to the back of the ROPS which really cut down in the amount of snow coming in when snowblowing.

I put an original tractor cab on my garden tractor in 1993. My brother in-law has the machine now and the cab is still in great condition.. They are well made and reasonably priced.

For you guys that have cabs or enclosures, how about fogging? Do they fog up real bad when in them for a while? If so, how do you handle the fogging problem ? hjt

I have never had a fogging issue. Biggest issue is snow collecting on the front window.

I recently bought the hardtop cab made by Original Cab directly from the company. I paid more than the ad on the other post but the company was able to answer some questions about fit for my BX23. I ended up fabricating a brace for the rops..other than that it is a good fit using all factory holes...did not have to drill my tractor! I got the optional winshield, wiper, and lights and mounted an interior light and strobe on the roof. I did not like the white color and had the body shop paint it to match the kubota. I did not add heat, but that has not been a problem as the wind and snow are off me. Also no problem with fog as I left the air flow thru the grill under the steering wheel and the air flow seems to keep things clear. The problem I had with the solid cabs was that the rops would have to come off wheras the Original cab is in front of it. Secondly, seven bolts and it can be lifted right off for spring.

Can you use the BH with the cab installed?

Lee,
The cab could be moved from tractor to tractor but it would probably take a couple hours to unfasten and fasten everything again to another tractor. Not really practicle in my opinion. The rear curtain/window would have to be unsnapped and removed to use the backhoe which I have off for the winter. I use a sander and rear blade in conjuction with the snowblower for winter. Also, Since the cab was made for models w/o a backhoe, I'm not sure of the seat height/cab top if the seat is turned around. the cab top is about 6 inches lower than the full rops on the BX23.

GRA123,

This is the third thread that I have come across in the last few minutes in which you have trolled and dredged up a discussion of soft cabs for small tractors that has been inactive for many months, or even several years.

Please participate in active threads with information that is pertinent to current situations. Your present pattern of participation does not add to any actual conversations that are ongoing at this time.
