Thanks for the hollar ! By any chance could you be my rich Uncle, I mean I dont even know anyone in Dorset, its only 20 mins south of me, and I refer to it as millionaires alley ! East wells is pretty layed back if you know what I mean, my Uncle Dave lives up the road, and he calls his place " redneck heaven " !

Scotty---Just saw an ad in Farming magazine for land in Wells, Vt.. 6.86 acres, they are asking $75,000. Ad says it has frontage on Wells brook. The pic shows a nice cleared meadow surrounded by woods.

I stayed up late last night looking at that fine country you got up there, if it wasn't for the other people that posted on this i probably would have missed it, so i had to go back to ~your first post ~and start from there.
Had no ideal this thread was so long, so when i got to page 10 i just
could not stop had to finish, i have never been up that way__, after
looking i wished i could have left here last night!!!!

I could set on the porch and never get tired of a view like that, i really liked the rock bench, it looked like it was laid there by God.

I showed my wife some pictures of your place this morning and she
really enjoyed them!__ she was wondering how cold it got there, and
i said does it matter, when you can wake up to a view like that.

This week we had a bad ice storm with 1 1/2 in. ice then 4in. of snow, we was lucky we didn't lose power, many around us did, just
glad it didn't hit last week when it was below 0 _ the bluegrass state
is a mess, it has got -20 before but not that often, i think my wife could handle the cold up there.

I sure would like to taste some of that syrup!!
Up the road a couple mile is a 92 year old man that makes molasses,
everybody here knows when its time to put fire to the big pot, we all
try to help him out, he's about the only one left around here.

I really enjoyed the view from here, but would be much better from the porch or _____the rock bench!!!

I really liked all the porch views from everyone that posted here!!!

I mentioned this before, but your in the VT slate triangle, One of my services is slate roof maintenance, so I go up your way at least once a year to buy roof slate, NE slate co use to be up 7 past Rutland, now they informed me that they have moved to rt 30 in Poultney which is even closer to East Wells.

Always loved Vermont, especially the swimming holes, driving around in the summer, see a bunch of cars on the side of the road you know there must be a swimming hole. We have friends in Waitsfield and brother in Guilford, some day I'd like to get a place of my own up there.

JB one of my favorite swimming holes is south of us in Dorset, Vt. The old marble quarries, absolutely great on a hot summer day !

We were up this past weekend, saturday night the wind had to be blowing 50 to 60 mph and the temp was 40 F this mornin, so alot of the snow dissappeared over the last day or so ! Somehow Im sure there will be more to come !

I think Im ready for the grass to turn green !

She's over 7' to the top of her head. Anything that's green is very, very attractive!

Thanks for posting the moose ! We have heard from out Vt neighbors that they occassionally travel through our fields but we have never been there to see them !

It also looks like your window sash is a bit wider, Im guessing maybe 6" walls ?

Anyways glad you enjoyed scrolling through the thread, and all the pics the guys have posted !
