I'll try to get some better pics taken and posted. We had lost alot of our snow and then this AM, we got about 12" of light powder. Driving was terrible most of the day.
I'm glad you got the ball rolling, I've been thinking about it for awhile and just didn't get it done. When I think of the damage to the roof and rack on my explorer (prior to the pickup purchase), the borrowing and favors, the cost to repay favors...Schvl73,
Glad to hear you got off the fence and bought a trailer. Kinda like me, after starting this thread I figured I shamed myself into action.
Good luck, JB.
Trailers aren't hard to come by in New England, just expensive! I've seen plenty of used for $2000 - $2500 and you can buy new for less in the midwest. I was seriously considering though. I thought of buying 3, keeping 1. In the end, after a sales meeting in VA and the long ride to and from, I decided a futher drive to buy a trailer was something I wouldn't have the time to do.Glad you found you a trailer also.
So this thread not only helped JB but sounds like it helped you too.
That sure looks like a lot of snow, we was supposed to get 6 to 8 inch.
but only got 1/2in. I'm ready for spring!!
*I really didn't know it was hard to get trailers in your area, it would probably be a good opportunity for a person to go into the business, if he could get them delivered in the area.

This has worked really well for me. I have a variety of places to tie down and since I also use the trailer to transport stone/mulch, I used my router to make 'pockets' so they stow flush with the deck....anyone have some good pictures of how they do theirs?
JB,Stupid ground hog brought us more winter, we had snow on the ground all winter since early December, it was slowly melting and we were able to start thinking about doing things outdoors besides snow removal, Then bam! another storm.
Next posts will be about the best ways to tie down equipment on trailers, anyone have some good pictures of how they do theirs?
Thanks, JB.

I took a couple of pics today. I dragged it out and put the plate on it. Just about ready to hit the road. I changed the 6 wire plug out for the RV style to match the truck.shvl73, I would like to see some pics of that without the snow. Thats an interesting trailer as its deck over but appears to be built more like a drop deck. Am I seeing it right?
