So are you living in there? I've heard of people around here, building large barns and taking about a 1/3 or even 1/2 and using it for living quarters.

Not yet......we plan on using it as temporary living quarters while we build a home in the future. It is more like a finished "break room" inside the building.

Just want to say that this is a very nice. I think all pole barns should have a living space in them. I see alot more people building garages and pole barns with living spaces before the actual construction of there house. Probably a lot cheaper then living out of a hotel if you sell your current house. And probably alot easier than living with family or friends while the house is being built.
Can't wait to see finished pictures.

"It looks like Morton set short glue lams posts to get out of the ground and then nailed the rest of the columns to those? Were the upper columns in pieces or were they already together and just mated up?"

Yes, columns are assembled and precut at factory, factory installed " bird blocking 2x4s spaces the girts or siding nailers onsite. The columns are nailed to the treated columns in the ground with one nail, wall is assembled on the ground and then rotated up with tractor loader.

"I see what looks like OSB around the bottom. How thick is that and was that optional or stock? Is it for protection from animals kicking or you getting too close and is it structural as well?"

7/16 OSB, mainly to prevent dents in steel wainscotting, my wainscoting was screwed in and the rest nailed, Beavis probably had all his steel screwed on.

Beavis beautiful building, I was not all that impressed with my crew, the salesman was a little too comfortable, they did not live up to all the hype morton put out. But I am on the picky side when I drop a lot of coin.

This is one of the threads that I wish I did not miss due to my sporadic TBN lurking.

When they built our Morton building all the 2x6 came bundled, they built all the poles by using three 2x6's, they staggered them so they fit into the lower treated wood and so the trusses would fit right into them.

They had a guy doing the holes, a guy building the wood, and then a guy setting the bottom posts with a guy checking and helping as it went. They build our 48'x60' in 4 days, that was just the building no cement. Then a door company came in and finished the roll up.

They work great together, each guy has a job and it gets done, we had a big cookout for them when they finished, we also filled up their trucks with sweet corn fresh from our field.

FWIW, when I got my Morton building, they explained they used the PT 2x6s for the in ground part of the poles since they can be more sure of complete treatment penetration with 2 xs, and they use stainless steel fasteners to hold them together. Made sense to me, and it is an extra step, for sure. Sealing or epoxy finishing the floor slab is almost a must, unless you are going to store stuff in the dark and never look at it. Even then, a hardner is a good idea.
