What ever makes your leg sit comfortably. You will quickly adjust to the view, but if not sitting tension free, will cramp up quick and have no fun on the tractor.

It looks like the seat is slightly offset to the righthand side. If so, I'm just a bit curious why you did it that way, instead of centering it?? I'm sure you have a good reason.
Optical illusion, Its centered, however the steering collem is off to the left at the base.It looks like the seat is slightly offset to the righthand side. If so, I'm just a bit curious why you did it that way, instead of centering it?? I'm sure you have a good reason.
At this point I think the battery is going to slide out the front.Battery box is to the left, easier to get out is my guess.![]()
Great thread, I also joined because of this. I've been kicking around the idea of building a compact/garden tractor, not quite as ambitious as this but 2wd and around 10 hp.
Great tractor! Its looks like it'll be a real workhorse! You really did inspire me, I went ahead and built a small tractor, just on a smaller scale. I have a lot of walk-through gates, so I had to keep mine under 32" wide. Using quick disconnect hydraulics to attach implements, and hydraulic motors to run things like post hole diggers and such.

Glad I could help!
What kind of set up have you got on the front steering gear?
