When comparing tractors what is the important spec I should look at in determing which has the best loader? I'm looking at lift capacity at max. height, at pivot pin; then it's lift capacity at 59 in; and on to breakout force etc.

Comparing the BX2360/2660 to the JD 2305.

While I'm asking loader questions: Does the BX have a quick attach loader that is easy to take off and put on if primarily mowing like the JD 200CX?

Important spec? most name brand loaders are similar. It depends on what you will be using the loader for. These are small tractors and you can't expect too much from them, definitely a quick disconnect loader would be a plus. Don't get a large width bucket and remember you need rear ballast to use a loader when loaded. My rear mower works fine as ballast, but it hurts going into tight places while using the loader.

I would say it is the lift capacity at some distance from the pivot pins, I don't remember the exact spec. I can tell you the Kubota lift capacity is based on the model number. For a BX2360, I think it is a LA245, which would be 245KG which is 540 lbs. That is what you can expect to actually lift in the bucket.
I have a BX2350 and can take my end loader off or put it on in less than 5 minutes, sometimes as quick as 2 minutes. It gets quicker with practice, probably took me 15 minutes the first time.

To me the other numbers aren't that important, the lift height, dump angles etc unless you are trying to load into a truck. Most people with a small tractor won't be trying that anyway.

It doesnt matter where the lift capacity is measured, just compare apples to apples. That may be JD lift at the pins vs kubota at the pins, or JD at 500mm forward vs kubota at 500mm forward. Just dont compare Pins of one tractor to 500mm forward of another and think the one measured at 500mm is weak.

I always look at lift to max height. Another spec to look at is the breakout force. It is a combination of lift and curl force that represents the ability to "breakout" of a pile of dirt or whatever. But again it can be measured at the pins or 500mm forward.

Just as an example kubota and JD are good about giving specs at both 500mm and at the pins. Whereas kioti and Mahindra like to give only the spec at the pins, cause it is higher there and looks better. Now I'm not bashing kioti or Mahindra cause they make good tractors, I'm just stating facts and you need to compare apples to apples.

Measuring at the pins is a good point for comparison but in no way is the actual lift capacity of the loader, as the bucket is way out in front of the pins. Thus the 500mm measurement is actually about how much you can lift in the bucket.

My JD has a QD FEL. The whole FEL has been removed about three times in 3000hrs. It also has a QD bucket. I sometimes go back and forth between the bucket, forks, rock carrier, log lifter etc six times per day. With the fork frame on, I am actually lifting AT THE PINS which can make a real difference when picking up a heavy load that I can't lift at the front edge of the bucket.
I wouldn't consider any FEL that doesn't have a removable bucket now....

It does...Less than 5 minutes, more of an annyance than anything...Well designed anyway.
