Building a bridge

Sorry Buggy, . . my mistake,..I mis-read I guess. So,..in that case, I would most certainly think,..(from here at least), that your great looking bridge is plenty strong enough to handle your equipment. Nice job, well done!
Cheers,

Wow, awesome job. And good looking to boot. Thanks for sharing. I have to make a bridge in the back "some day" and will certainly refer to your work.

I'd say if it's built stronger than a trailer (which it looks like it is) it will be plenty strong enough. Looks good and the design while simple looks just fine. Some folks try to over complicate everything.

I am in envy. I have a creek and would like about a 25-foot span bridge. And, the creek floods at least once a year, sometimes more. So far I have not been willing to tackle it.

I'm in the process of building a wooden bridge to cross a small creek. The main goal was to make it strong enough to cross with my Kubota B-2150 with the backhoe attached. This is prob. overkill, but... it has 125, 60# bags of concrete in the main footers, plus two other beam supports. I used 2x6's for the slats, and four 6x6's for the main beams. It's 20 feet long, and 6 feet wide.

Any 3/8" or 1/2" rebar running through those "main footers?"

I do not have the link handy at the moment but there is a website that has plans for all sizes of bridges built out of 2x4 or 2x6 trusses that you make yourself. Some pretty amazing spans.

Very nice looking bridge you have.
