How much are they a piece, and would they work on a PT?

Well, the website says at least 550 a tire... For me a 4500 investment.

Guess I will stick with replacing tubes at $30 a throw...

Cool tire idea. After having two flats in two years, I'm definitely interested in something like that!

I get rim leaks from pressing a tire against the side of a ditch and have a few that leak around the valve stems but other than that, i have been lucky so far.

My rims are pretty trashed, the lips are bend down and I get junk in on the bead. Also, with the 8 wheels, I get stuff jammed between the inner and outer (2 or 3" limb peices) and those seem to free the air.

I am now moving back to tubed tires, but I have to keep the pressure up higher than recommended... Then again, I looked at the slope mowing video and yeah, that guy is around 40 at the steepest..... Ughhh... I hit 30 and get nervous so keeping the air up is probably fine...

I have been using the Gempler Super Tire Seal for about a year and this has eliminated all but one flat. That was during a roller over, so I will take all of the bad credit for that.

Carl,

I have purchased rims and tires off of Ebay, and I believe that Ditch Witch wheels will fit. I also purchased some from the local flea market vendor. I also had some made up at the local wheel and tire plant. I wold suggest no tubes and about a half gal of Slime or equivalent.

Bob,

Are you talking about machine rollover, or tire roll off? I purchased 5 gal of some industrial tire sealer off Ebay, and have just a little bit left. You really don't know if it works, until you count all the nails and screws in the tires. The lugs on the bar tires keep a lot of the tread off the ground. 4 or 6 ply is good if you can find them.

Allow me to restate: I've had many flats! The two incidents I referred to were catastrophic damage to make the tire unrepairable. I have a spare tire and wheel now, ready to go if the need arises. :)
