Nice pictures of your yard, and you welding on the low-boy trailer!

You have really took good care of your truck!

That's the first time I've seen the video of the trailer being built, and I really enjoyed it & the music really fit it... Very nice job!

I like how you have your custom builds on videos. In the video I seen the welder cart and they looked great beside each other. :)... ALL your videos that I've seen are better than the custom building shows on TV. :D

I seen some pictures of a motorcycle that you rebuilt, But I didn't know you done work on motorcycles for customers...You have a shop for every need!

I hear you talking all the time about customers coming in the shop... I would really like to visit your shop someday. :D

I read where you & Matt was talking about these shows on TV... I use to watch American chopper & monster garage, but don't anymore... I quit watching A-C because it really got boring, and I didn't want my son to hear all the cussing, and see all the violence that they do... Monster garage was the same way.

I use to watch Trick-my-truck a lot, but that was when they had the old crew on... I don't watch no more shows of custom building... Now I only watch Extreme logging, Ice Road truckers & "Dirty job with Mike Rowe.".... If I want to watch a custom build, now I watch you. :D

Thanks for the pictures & the video of the custom trailer!

Bill I appreciate your kind comments. Glad you enjoyed the pics and the video. I try and do the video's during the winter months. Usually during a storm when I'm tied down and can't do mush else. I've restored 9 bikes in all now and getting ready to start another one. I mostly collect bikes that I had as a kid or ones that I have fond memories of. It's very enjoyable work. I keep the restored junk in another building. You'll see it behind the tractor.

This year we've seen a lot of bike repairs. There's two in the shop this morning (pictured). It's a little break from the bigger repairs. After I get the bikes completed later today I have to work on a small trailer for the government. I don't be bored much :) It's kind of funny when you mentioned the shows you dislike and the ones you watch now. I watch the same very ones your watching! Cool. Great minds think alike. I've tried my best to take care of the truck and everything else for that matter. Stuff is so expensive you have to look after it all or it will cost more money to replace it.

Your welcome to visit anytime. I said that to a fellow a few years ago who was from Upstate New York and he showed up for a visit a week later. He loved the place and the area and said he's coming back. I talk to him from time to time on facebook. It sure is a small world my friend. Here's a few more pics to bore you with. I better get out of here before the boss catches me :) Paul

Ah Bob you got me figured out alright. Up here in Canada we vacuum the grass before we mow it, that way the mower don't get too dirty :D

I really try and keep everything tidy. Make for good business. When folks get out of there vehicles they don't want to see a mess around and the same goes for when they get there machines back, there always clean. Not every shop around my area are like that though. Glad you enjoyed the video of the trailer and thanks for your comments as always. I'd love to see your end of the world some time. A little warmer than here for sure ;)

Just added a 12 volt accessory plug to the zero. I'm gett'en ready to another addition :D

Thanks for posting the trailer build video. I really like the in-bed tool storage and drawer under the tailgate.

Mythbusters & Dirty Jobs are my favorite ongoing Discovery Channel shows; but I do watch numerous other engineering type shows on Discovery, TLC, Science Channel and National Geographic Channel.

I never could get into Monster Garage because I hated the hack work they did to slap together something; plus I can't stand Jesse James. I only watched two complete episodes of Monster Garage and they were one in which they converted a 70's or 80's Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow into a honey wagon, and the second one was where they made a trike from a Peterbilt. Well the latter show turned out to be a misnomer since the only Pete item they used was the headlight. Granted the Cummins engine, Eaton trans and rear axle came out of the Pete; but as far as I'm concerned they aren't true Peterbilt parts. Jesse wanted to make it a bike; but someone in his crew talked some sense into him and said there was no way he was going to balance 2 - 3 tons or more of diesel powered bike.

Glad you enjoyed the video Matt. The wife was upset when I went to build the trailer. I told her I estimated the thing would cost around $1500. to build but I kept getting ideas as I was doing it and kept ordering material and the cost went up to $4500. before I got it done. She did get over it after 6 months and we're talking again:) I think I'll wait awhile before I mention I want to redo our utility trailer.

Monster Garage was the most annoying show I ever watched. There builds seemed more of a waist of money to me. When that announcer would scream I could beat up the LCD TV. It annoyed the crap out of me. The problem with Jesse James is that he's good and he knows he is good. I always said no matter how good you are there's always someone better. I didn't even like ball cap that he wore :) There's enough talent on this site to have a top rated show. some of the builds I've seen along with the ideas that people come up with are second to none. I guess that's why I keep coming back here.

Bob this addition to the zero is a bit off the wall but I just had to do it for a bit of fun. As far as my air brushing skills go I'm about as far from an artist as you'll find. I just do the basic stuff. Here's a picture of the first air brushing I did. My wife bought me the chair which had those flames on it so I restored the gas pump, parking meter and light to match it. Don't worry about high jacking this thread. Man anything goes on my threads. Matt, Bill and yourself always seem to get me gabbing or babbling on so I apologize for doing that :) I always welcome your comments sir and appreciate you posting.

I still have my Paasche 'H' series airbrush I won in a model contest back in the 70's. I only used it for model making; but I did try it to repair a scrape on my Mom's bumper a few years back. I never did figure out what thinner to use with Honda's bottled touch-up metallic paint. Mineral spirits didn't work; neither did M-E-K, Naphtha, Xylene or acetone. I did the best I could; but I wasn't happy with the result. Fortunately the scrape was small and my Mom is happy.

Oh yes, how could I forget the screaming wrestling event announcer on Monster Garage. That was another reason I couldn't stand that show.

Yes, there are a lot of good fabricators on this site and I enjoy seeing what people come up with.

Wow , Paul, Thats some collection of Memorabilia . Thanks for sharing .

mjncad , it depends on What paint You were using . But almost all use a Urethane base clear coat system that needs the proper reducers . All You mentioned You tryed to use will not work for the type of paint on the bumper IMHO .

Most auto paint shops carry the proper types of spot repair paints for the bumpers in either a brush in a bottle or Aeresols . as well as pints that ussually dont need any reduction .

Ductape You otta be ashamed of Yourself :D . Bob

Looks like that bike needs the 'baffles' taken out of the pipes.:D.... I took mine out of the stock pipes and it sounds great... It also made it run better.. The pipes was blocked off in 3 places.

I may just come & visit someday... But it won't be in the winter. :D

I enjoyed yours pictures of your yard with you tractor... You really have a nice yard, and it looks relaxing the way you have the landscape!.... I also enjoyed the pictures of the chair, gas pumps and all the rest of your collection....That girl looks great!!!!!:D..(I hope my wife don't see this.)

OK since you've shown different pictures and videos in this thread, and we all have talked about different things..Can you post something else that you built.. I don't remember where its at but I've seen it before. Its the "sandblaster" that you built.... Do you care to post that ?

Thanks for all the pictures!
