The price of parts, alone, is outrageous but the poor attitude that New Holland has towards supplying parts is much, much worse. My 758C backhoe had a number of issues with the cylinders that the dealer repaired but New Holland could care less how long it took to supply the parts. One piston was on national backorder for 6 months, found that out after waiting for it for 2 months!
Fact is, I've been VERY disappointed with the problem of getting parts and in some cases the quality of the parts. I've "owned" the tractor for just over 4 months and it's been at the dealer for 2 months and 2 weeks waiting for parts so it can be repaired.
Yes, the tractor and equipment is NEW! The Regional Parts representative could care less when contacted.
Getting back to this problem, why aren't rubber plugs inserted into the access holes on the HST? Surely there is no need for air cooling? Since I have an automotive rustproofing gun, Wouldn't it be a good idea to shoot rustproofing in this cavity and after it all dries, to put plugs in the holes? Whether stored indoors or out, the possibility of mice or wasps or something making a nest there is a REAL possibility on every tractor with this HST.
