which to buy B2920 TLB or B3200 TLB & why

Well the 2920 did not work out for me after all. It was the loader that did it for me. The dealer is picking it up tomorrow and will drop off the 3200 when they get a b76 backhoe in. I should have listen to those that said go bigger. I felt bad about putting the dealer through all that trouble so I also added a bush hog to my order. I have a land pride tiller rtr0550 now. will that be wide enough for the 3200?

OK - I got'ta ask - what about the loader you didnt like - capacity?...digging power?...

I just had a 70' oak tree cut down and the tree was all over with very large trunk pieces. The bucket was too small to get them in and the one that I could just get in could not be lifted. I asked the dealer if I could have a larger loader setup and he said no that was what is recommended from Kubota. I never used the backhoe and it did a great job of dragging the tree plenty of power. I know the next size bucket is not much larger but I have a lot of dirt work to do to fill in low spots so it should help some. I know the next size up does not lift much more so that may not have mattered either. I do like the size better on the 2920 and feel it has plenty of power just wish it came with a bigger loader setup.

I hope the b3200 works for you. I am thinking of upgrading my b7510 for the same reason. I don't mind the small bucket but need more lifting power. I am just worried the b3200 might not have enough either. I am hoping when I am ready to by the dealer will let me demo it for a day.

The B3200 FEL capacity is just a tad less (under 50 lbs less) than my FEL, and I'm plenty happy with mine. I lifted a pallet of concrete pavers off the bed of my Superduty with my pallet forks a couple of months ago - the pavers weighed in at 1800 lbs. I could only get the pallet about an inch above the bed, but it picked it up so I could unload the entire pallet at once. It was a strain, but it did it.

I'd say lifting 1500-1600 lbs to the midpoint is fairly comfortable for these loaders. Remember that Kubota's specs are based on lifting to full height, so to the mid point, or typical carry height, you can lift signficantly more weight. I do use the backhoe as ballast with the really heavy loads, and I have the rear tires loaded.

I can stall the loader if I bury it into a hillside, but I've been able to do that with a full size TLB. I've used a lot of different machines, from subcompacts all the way up to full size, and I have been very, very impressed with the B series strength for it's size.

nh-Rob my dealer was good about taking the tractor back. I would say that if you let them know you should be fine. Just don't get it banged up or looking too bad. I have read other posts on here where dealers are willing to take a tractor back to keep the customer happy. I know when it comes time to get another tractor or something else he carries I will be looking to buy from him first as long as the price is not outrageous. It only seems fair after all.

The BH76 comes with a seat if you buy it with the B2630, or B3030, but comes with a swivel seat if you buy it with a B3200. For TLB use, I would certainly get the larger B series if you can afford it, and have the storage for it. The backhoe is much stronger, has a foot more reach, and 30 degrees more boom swing, all things that are signifigant if you use the backhoe at all. The backhoe on the smaller B's is more of an incremental upgrade from the capabilities of the BX. Five hundred, or so pounds of force increase is much different than 1500 lbs, or double, and the 150 degree swing, and shorter reach means a lot more positioning, and more limitation on where the spoils can be placed.

NRA,
I had a BX24 and ended up with the 2920.
1*I got rid of my BX for the same reasons you did.. Plus 2*I did not want to run the thing near full throttle to get power out of the machine.
3*Many of the 24's have an abrupt stop in the high range when traveling in reverse and then switching to forward motionMy 2920 is smooth, quiet and has 2 rear pto speeds. Good Luck!
1*I would not trade my BX for one; but I'd take A B series to add to my fleet .
2*I never have to run my BX near WOT .
3*Why i'm glad mine is a bx23.

Does the BH76 come with a seat or do the newer tractors all have a swivel seat. I would like a B series with a backhoe and am considering the B2630 with the BH76.

*I sold a subcompact Case IH, same size as the BX, to get a bigger machine.
I don't care for the B2920 B3030 or B 3200 because of the 4 cyl ,engines.t
I would never sell my BX .
I would just buy the bigger tractor.
