well thats to bad. I wouldnt buy one for 2 reasons, 1, it looks like it is cheaply built, and 2, There arent any TSCs around here anyway.

Did you get a load of that.

I am very frustrated right now so bear with me.

After attaching the ballast box to my tractor it became apparent that I would need it on wheels. Ran out to TSC and bought this dollie rated at 1200lbs.!!

My ballast weighs about 600lbs. so I figured I would have plenty strength....NOT.

What a joke.

Anyhow, what do you all use to for "wheels" with a ballast box.?? I'd really like to know.!@#$%$#@!%^&***:eek::confused:

Took me an hour and a half to get it back on my tractor. Snow is coming.

Cheaply built for sure but, rated at 1200lbs.

What is a consumer to think??

I feel your pain on the junk being foisted upon us anymore. I bough commercial moving dollies for this kind of thing..Not cheap, but you don't have to worry about them.

If it is rated for 1200lbs they should take it back. I don't understand how they could rate that at 1200lbs. I checked Tsc's web site and it is rated for 1200. I would ask for a refund.

I have bought many from HF and had good luck. They run $12 or so. I put my rear ballast on one and its bigger with no issues.

I bought some 10" pneumatic wheels from TSC a few years back on sale for $10 each to make a cart. Of the 4 wheels I bent 3 in the first day.

One nice idea I saw on a steel counter weight such as yours is to weld on 4 pieces of pipe to the corners that will accept casters.

Yea, but remember that he used casters (wheels) from some commercial scaffalding.

I feel your pain, but I think this is one of those cases where you get what you pay for. See if you can get your money back and look for something with some beef to it.
