The PTO shaft mounts to the mid PTO the same way -- I have made sure it is locked in place, the PTO shaft goes to the QH and that does NOT lock so it can slide which I think is probably a poor design but that's me. The PTO shaft slides onto an approximately 5 1/2 long shaft of the QH, of which it engages about 3"

Kennyd, that might be good advice. I also question whether those mower mounts that are in the way, are supposed to be there. Do you need the mower mounts for some reason? (you can tell I don't use an MMM) Kubota uses the same QH for all front implements and the drive shaft passes through the hitch. Obviously, I use my QH with a hydraulic plow, thus no shaft to consider.

What we need is someone with this same setup to chime in. Readership is a bit down for the holidays, but someone will pipe up soon.

I took the mower mounts off, when I say that, I mean the grooves cut into the tractor frame where the mounts go -- they just dictate where the quick hitch can go

I had that style hitch on my old BX. It does fit tight against the frame. Yours looks like it may be bent. Post a pic of it off the tractor. Also the cam block on the T bolt must be properly installed and tightened. I think all you need to do is lift it a bit so it can swing in where it belongs. The driveline angles are wrong the way you have it.

Don't you have the manual????:confused::confused:

I'm kinda befuddled. Yours looks radically different from mine. Wow!! I'll try and take some pix of mine. Head scratcher. Wondering if Kubota modified this since the 30 series?
Wish I could help more.

Yep, you have the new style hitch, same one I have now. The old style has the clamp wedges on the bottom and take a bit care to align it.

Thank you for the quick reply --- you are right, significantly different. I'm hoping that now that I torqued the heck out of the T bolt that holds it in place that I'll be okay... Its just very frustrating and nerve racking that the PTO shaft could slip at any time - and trust me, that thing at 2-3k RPMs hitting the ground makes the tractor jump and stall is quite alarming

I'm not sure I'm going to be much help here, my BX2750 quick hitch was the same as bp fick's and I can't tell from the pictures you posted where the T-bolt is going on your hitch. My old mount made sense, in that it locked at the bottom where the mmm levers went, then the whole system was pulled in tight when the t-bolts were tightened...forcing the wedges to pull up on the whole assembly. In the Spring I would have to loosen the t-bolts and then give them each a light whack with a rubber mallet to break the wedges free.....if any of that makes sense. I'm also having a hard time seeing how yours is supposed to work, but agree that you should not have that space. John

I do have the manual but all it says is if it doesnt fit flush make sure the T bolt and block aren't in the way, I took them OFF just to confirm it only seems to fit that one way. I tried to lift it up and get it on the bumper flush a few different ways, even not hanging it with the angle bracket first, I just cant seem to figure it out.. Luckily last storm I was able to put the FEL back on, but that takes a long time in wet heavy snow with a 500' long driveway I have to figure this out

The thing is tail heavy. You need to push the bottom in hard and the top angle should ride up, then tighten the clamp wedge with the T bolt, then put the drive line on, then mount the blower.

You are mounting the hitch by itself - right ?????????????///

Yes, mounting the QH by itself, its heavy enough alone nevermind trying to mount it with anything else. So, are you saying that once I push the bottom in hard the top angle should ride up - do you mean that angled piece will come UP off the bumper a little?

Ya...........kinda sorta. It is at an angle, right????????????? It can slide up a bit and still be in contact with the frame. Step on the lift arm and lift/pull on the top cylinder mount and it should slide right into place. Hold it and tighten the clamp.

This hitch is a very simple device. If it is not bent it should roll into place.

I assume that these mounting issues are why the change was made to the current hitches.

I never had any issues with mine. I find the new style more of a hassel with 2 pins and 2 T bolts whereas the old model had just 1 T bolt.

Oh..........and fill out your profile.
