Northern living is definately not for everyone. You'd be surprised, though, how you become accustomed to it. We buy big coats, 4X4 vehicles, and good furnaces. The first snow every year brings out the bundled up people and cars litter the barrow pits of every road. By spring everyone's running around in light jackets and fully capable of maintaining the posted speed limit on ice covered roads.
I got a chuckle ot of this one... spoken like a true northerner like me!
Same here- I am continously surprised at myself-- some days it just shuts me down in temps of 40. Other days, late in winter with snow still on ground and temps are barely hovering over 35, I am loving it outside with no coat, just a long sleeve shirt doing stuff and being very productive. wierd huh?
