My #2 son lives in Upper Marlboro, MD (S.E. of DC). He just sent me some pix of yesterday's storm at his house. He was plowing with the front loader and when he was dumping the bucket he went too far over the edge of the driveway. The tractor was stuck. He got his 4X4 to pull it out. Let's say he wasn't successful. Its still stuck after 4 hours of digging :(

Chains might help next time. There are good days and bad days and yeah I am getting tired of the snow right now.

They make shovels every day for this kind of activity!

I know the feeling, I spent Saturday digging out of 22" here in Western PA. It was tough going for awhile until you got a start then was manageable. I had ATV, BX24 and the truck stuck at one point, needless to say the shovel was the only thing working at the time!

At least he has that little roof attached to the ROPS to keep the sun and snow off him!....hahahaha!!

Been there stuck that!

i agree cool pic. BUT it also looks aggravating as heck!! Not a good day to say the least.

Been there, done it, and will be doing again sometime. Last yr had my MF1135 w/9ft blower off the edge of a friends driveway. This is about a 14,000lb tractor. Rt wheel not touching, ditch to deep. Had to have a nieghbor with a cable skidder go to the other side of driveway(which was in a swampy part of the woods) drive out into swamp and winch me 90 degrees to get me back on. Bad day, but part of the fun.

Hey, At least the sun is shinening. "Murphy" would have done that to me at 11PM! ~S

I do that all the time pushing drifts back.

Curl the bucket down, put it on the ground, uncurl it, and repeat, until your out.

Yeah, we've all been there. He should have left the truck sit and used a come-along and cable from the tractor to that big tree.

I bet he would get one at the hardware if he could get out of his driveway :D

It can be maddening As a father you just tell him it builds character :p

Stuck in snow? I thought bobcats could climb trees.

While I have used a come along in some instances, I find a chain hoist hooked to a tree or other anchor point works really well, slow as heck, but those things will really pull.
