Yes, they make corrugated translucent panels that match whatever roofing you have but I have seen a bad reaction over time when you have galvanized metal roofing.

Curb style skylights can used it will require more roof framing and metal
flashing soldered to roof panels

Some have commented in other threads they don't weather well. Develop cracks or checking.

Agree with previous posts, but one important question, What is going under the roof, Finished building or utility shed?
If you are going for a more finished installation, a lot of manufacturers (Velux for example) offer premade flashing that probably won't leak.
But if you are only going for a storage type building, I would go with the translucent panels that match the profile, and understand that you are going to get a little leakage.

Can you go with translucent panels at the top of the wall? This would save the hassles of leaking skylights.

As I remember, you are planning on a 14' wide building. Two double hung windows across from each other and sheltered by eaves will supply plenty of light for that width of building. Plus they will provide some cross ventilation in warm weather.

Agree with comments so far. My biased comment: The whole point of a metal roof is to have no problems. I'd do the sheltered, fixed windows up high. Easier to fix, less problems if they do leak, you still get light. Another option that I'll be using for the next outbuilding is having the top panel of the garage style door so that it has windows. That will let in enough light to let you get in and open a door for more light.

One thing I didn't gleam from your post is are you trying to get enough light to be inside and get work done, or enough light to get in, get something, and get out?
