target shooting wise I once put 3 .243 rounds in 2.25" group at 300yds, other than that two occasions come to mind:
whitetail doe at 200yds with the 454 casull single action. I was in a pit blind, hands steadied on ground.
While a crew was working saturday on my pole barn I walked out well after sunrise with my gear and they told me I was too late......90% of the deer walk through my little woods between 8:15 and 8:45. Before there first coffee break, I shot a doe at 125 yds thru the timber with a t/c encore 50 cal muzzleloader....not a fantastic shot but it came at the right time.
