This would be my fourth new Kubota tractor. I am very familiar with the local dealers and I do my own service on them unless it is a warranty repair. I am really just looking for the best price.

I ended up going with a local dealer. I would have had to drive down there and get it to make it worth the savings and I don't know if the trailer I'd borrow would do that trip.

My nephew lives in Anchorage and likes Road Trips, or did, he may have gotten tired of them by now. He may come with you and he also has a Dodge Diesel truck. He also lives to fish. Had to even buy the boat to go way out to get em.

If you time for a road trip that's great but I didn't have the time so I visited 2 dealers in different state and contacted numerous others . the 2 I visited one was close to my home in Florida and the other was near my place in Ohio big price difference between those 2 .Then after looking at this website and seeing other discussions I called Steve Barlow that was the best decision I made.He beat the others hands down.

My kinda guy!! :thumbsup: Got a diesel and he ain't afraid to use it!

First halibut trip this past Friday. Caught 14 halibut, 1 Pacific cod, 1 Irish Lord. Kept the biggest 8 (limit for 4 ). Nothing very big - biggest about 35lb. Perfect eating size - IMO.

The information from my dealer is that the markup on the Kubota website is around 20% over the wholesale price. My dealer says he has to make 8% to break even. To survive and pay the bills may take that number to 10%. In the end, if you can get 10% off of the website price it is probably a good deal.

Shop several dealers. Barlow's gets rave reviews on TBN so, even if you are not in their geographical area, a look-see at their price should give you at least a starting point.
