Is my loader is piece of crap?

How much Hp on the 4400? How much did it cost you?

35 Engine HP, 30 at the PTO.
I paid 13K for it which included a 7' RFM.
Tractor had 804 hours and is in excellent condition.

Ahhh. I see. No doubt about it, the non synchro is a bit third world, but the thing is bullet proof as you say. I had the forks out today, moving some loaded pallets. Even if the loader was a piece of crap, which it isn't, using the forks makes it worthwhile! Best 500 bucks I ever spent!:D

I have the ole pallet discussion so many time. Pallet forks rock - period.

A FEL with only a bucket is such a waste.

2nd that... Had the forks on yesterday to move a ton bag of fertilizer on the trailer.

While spreading the fertilizer I used the forks to clear the field of a couple of trees that had broken in the wind and were laying in the field.

Couldn't do that with a bucket - at least without tearin' up the turf!

Forks are great for moving brush piles too! I put my firewood on pallets so that I can grab a pallet and set it on the porch during the winter. I trip trees for firewood and cut them into 160 inch lengths then shuttle them to my wood shed and buck them up there. saves on walking and handling tons of wood. Anyone else tore apart your loaders yet to see if you have replacable bushings? Still curious to see what's the norm here.
