Beppington,
Sorry to hijack your thread... I tend to go off on tangents... I'll try to throw in some extra pics, as pics in a thread seem to make things better
tractorboy5500,
The weekend that I picked up the 45' trailer from Longhorn ended on and interesting note. I have a small place near Centerville, and had planned to spend the weekend up there with my brother and his wife riding horses. At the time my brother did not have a truck setup for a GN, so he used my wife's Dodge 2500 4x4 and her 4 horse LQ. My wife and I drove up in my Dodge 3500 4x4 to pick up the trailer. After spending the weekend riding, and enjoying our time away from the city, we headed home late Sunday evening. I had some fencing projects planned back home in La Porte for the following week, so I loaded our Kubota farm tractor, some gates, fencing, etc on the flatbed and headed home. When I hit the Hardy toll road, the turbo went out on my wife's truck while hauling the horses home. Now, I did not have any ramps for the 45' trailer, because I planned on putting it to work hauling pipe and fittings. I ended up finding an embankment that I could back the trailer up to, then loaded the dodge 2500 on the trailer with the Kubota and fencing supplies. Had a friend come pick up the horse trailer and bring them home. It was quite a sight to see...
I have a very similar story about when I blew the turbo in my while hauling some hay behind my Dodge 3500... I won't bore y'all with the details, but I will post a pic that got me plenty of trash talking on the CB. If you will look just to the left of the mail box in this pic, you will see the bar ditch that I had to use to unload my wife's 2500 when it blew the turbo. The truck was in the field across the street, the trailer spanned the street, and the axles were in the ditch
Here's a couple of pics that show the abuse that truck has received. The top and bottom rolls are two wide, except for the top front.

Here another pic on one of my loads... 300 sq bales of some junky feed store hay on my 2003 Tex-Nex 32' GN (25+5)
