Congratulations, I am a newbie also and have only done it a few years. There is nothing better than to look at the barn with hay overflowing. Do you have animals or are you selling? We have horses and goats? Making your own off of your own land is a job well done. What type of equipment do you have? I have a Ford 641 tractor, Ford 501 Sickle Bar, Ford Rake and an Oliver 720 square baler.

Baler has 2 sections of Ramp/chute (no turns) that I have tilting up (as if they should be resting on a Wagon), If not tilted up otherwise they drag on the ground . No kicker

Maybe thats better than a 4' drop ?. Ive tried adjusting the length of the chains that hold the ramp sections, however as soon as those sections get to be too flat (2' parallel to the ground) , they end up folding back and dragging any way.

Im away from the Fram just now so no pics

You tilt your ramp up only when you need to load up onto a wagon. You tilt your ramp level or somewhat below level to drop your bales gently on the ground. Sounds like you need to find a new mounting point for your ramp chains that will keep your ramps lower.
