Could you go into details why it did not work?? I'm thinking about Pat's but if it doesn't work on everything... forget it.

The shape of the ballast box is the problem. The box is narrow at the bottom and wider at the top, just above of the pins the box begins to taper up and this taper does not allow the Pat's to connect. It is not a fault of the Pat's but rather poor design from Kubota. I've considered looking for a JD ballast box since they appear to be square/rectangular and the Pat's would work fine.

If you would like a pic let me know, I'm heading up there tonight after work and can snap one.

Yes and yes. It works very well.

Remember that the PTO shaft will need to be extended another few inches because the Pat's sets the mounting point back a bit farther. There should be enough extra length on the present shaft. None of my PTO shafts had to be replaced with a longer one because of the Pat's.

A longer top link MAY be necessary depending on how your tractor is set up. They are cheap at Tractor Supply.

I don't mind photos but the Sticky at the top of this forum has a lot of info and some photos already. Mine would be a duplicate of what is available. There is not a lot of difference.

Two of my Pat's were bought off eBay and one from the TBN web order.

Now a "Pats" is like the Power traction hitches on my bigger Olivers. Right? You still have to get off the tractor to attach the top link? Honestly... How is that better than a quick hitch? Of course.... I understand this is only IF your implements are quick hitch compatible. Don't get me wrong, to each his own. Just curious.

wny770 we find the speed and safety afforded by Pat's Quick Hitch makes it a must have item. We have helping kids. Hopefully 50 years from now they will remember to be as safe as possible when hitching equipment.

For the person who can afford to go buy only equipment trained to work with their quick hitch system they do not need Pat's Quick Hitch.

For the rest of us Pat's Quick Hitch is about as good as it gets. There are cheaper options on Ebay that work for some but we have 60 HP Cat 2 tractor with a very heavy 7' bushhog. Pat's Quick Change hitch has proven itself over this past year as a strong yet easy to use hitching system that works well for any of our 3 point hitch equipment.

There are some implements that interfere with you bringing the hitch up from below [my tiller]. So pats allowance that you can swing them on from outside is valuable there. Also, no width constraint like QH.
