Problem with 4000 series and dealer.. need advice

/ Problem with 4000 series and dealer.. need advice #31
JD supervisor told me they WOULD NOT just start replacing parts till the noise stops as they don't know what it is. I am extremely upset but where else do I complain. I don't know what pay grade is above the supervisor. The last supervisor wouldn't even let me talk to a tech to maybe ease my mind. I also ask to speak to her boss and she refused saying the buck stopped with her and since I have the ONLY 4000 series tractor with this, they will do nothing.
JD says till it stops turning the shaft there is not ANYTHING wrong with the tractor.

What about trying to get a hold of, through the back door, the owner of the dealership?? If he/she are a good business person, they'll likely be interested in making things right.

I think getting something in writing is wise.

The dealership the tractor came from is the one that lied about changing ownership and even working on the thing. I filed a complaint with JD even though they admitted they had little control over their dealers. I also found that dealer had a face book page and post on their wall. I finally got a call from their complaint dept which blew me off also.
I am working with a new dealer which i have never dealt with before and they have been great. They are going to call the rep again mon but admitted for me not to expect much.
JD won't even answer my questions about what documented really means much less give something in writing. I do have my work order from where I dropped off the tractor last sat but that's it.

I'm sorry dude, that's really frustrating. Some of these guys are arrogant f's.

What about regional reps? State reps?

You just need to find someone who cares....

All I can hope for for you is "what goes around comes around".

I heard I could write the Director of Consumer Relations. Does anyone know how to contact him or email address of someone in JD corp?

I will continue my search and the dealer is contacting the rep again. I will keep my fingers crossed.

write everything down. What they said, date they said it, and Who said it. The broblem existed before the warrenty ran out. If you have the work order and everything you write down they'll have to pay for the repair if it fails. Would be even better if you could get someone to say they will stand behind the tractor or even gat it on an E-mail...... Been through this before. Good luck
