Hahaha ok yeah I didn't mention the clutch safety switch was necessary to use my procedure I had thought about it but assumed yours would have one!

But now you mention it lol wire it to the accessory side and the start side of the ignition switch you have and it will work just fine! Don't get run over please! Use the accessory side when its cold and you want to preheat it btw. My switch has the jumper California mentions and mine is gray market.

You ought to figure in the fuel return supply IMHO for your new setup like California said it is a pia with the reservoir setup I can only imagine it is, mine has the return setup and it is very simple and functional mounting it would be a piece of cake easy.

I keep telling myself that I am just going to have to bite the bullet and spend the money and time to get this tractor up to safety specs. But for the life of me I just can't see how a bent piece of tubing welded to a plate can cost $600.00:confused: (ROPS)

Seems like anytime it is a safety part the price goes through the ceiling:(

I expect 3/4 of that pays their liability insurance. Sooner or later they will face a million $ lawsuit when somebody dies pinned against a tree or something.

. I talked to Hoye and they have a complete kit but it seems a little pricey for what you get plus the bracket they show won't fit on the engine to hold the bowl.

The expensive part of the kit is really that goofy little Yanmar bottle with the lid. I would really like to be able to find something "non Yanmar" that would work. That alone would shave around $30 off the kit.

We actually make the exact bracket for that model. I'm not sure which one is on the website right now but I know only one version is shown... It is on my fix list. :)

Edit:
You can see the correct bracket if you scroll down (not in the main picture) here...

It has the correct metric bolts to bolt right to your valve cover.

Thanks, I did look around and found the kit using search and it showed the correct mounting bracket. I ordered the self filling bowl, bracket, glow plug and some other stuff today. I didn't order the kit since I wanted the other style bowl and will have to change the length of the hoses for it. I'll figure that out once it is all mounted.

On another note, the web site has a link to the kit but it doesn't work. Won't even let you click on it.:D

I was going to order a magnetic oil pan heater but did not find one on your site so I guess I will have to order it elsewhere.

[QUOTEThere is no room in the coolant hoses they are absolutely inaccessible for an inline heater which needs to go in a lower hose the block heater is the only possibility. ][/QUOTE]

Another Oppsi! as I am unfamiliar with the tractor.

Another addition to my "fix it" list. :)

The block heaters are listed under the universal electrical section and also the YM1900/Accessories section.

Edit: I also fixed the prices on those heaters. Our last supplier was reaming us on them :( . Gary, I'll correct your price too.

Thanks Aaron. You guys have always had the parts I need and don't mind helping me out when I'm not sure if I'm ordering the correct item. My YM1900 seems to be a rare YANMAR and I have not come across anyone else with one but it's nice to know I can still keep it running.

No that's ok you are on track and it does make perfect sense to just do a heater it really does simple is always better!

I checked and a freeze plug heater isnt available either for these engines that I have found.

I did order one that fits a v6 Saab that is 28mm (the only one even close) and I plan on experimenting with it if its properly designed. I don't expect it to work or me to find a way to make it work but its worth looking at and will give me something else to think about.

edit: Here is another one and its 30mm so I will get this one also. Kat's 10417 K4N K4NR K4NB frost plug engine block heater thanks to the internet.

Looks like it will fit just fine on mine I don't know what a 1900 block looks like but hopefully this will help someone.
