Looks good Gary yup 30 degrees should test it!

I think my TS wiring is 12 or 14ga its not as big as you may think it has to be 10 may be overkill it wont hurt at all but whatever you feel comfortable doing do.

I went with the size of the connector included with the TS. Yellow is 10-12 gauge wire so I assumed it was that size for a reason. Oh well, I got a 60 amp outdoor starter button switch that has a rubber boot over the button and a 30 amp auto reset breaker so I'm stuck with it now. Like you said, probably didn't need that much but it won't hurt.

Gary. I was reading your wiring post and decided to wire mine up. Not much to it if you still have the factory Ign. switch. Feel kind of guilty now that I finaly done it. The hardest thing was pulling the Ign.switch. Don't know why it wasn't hooked up in the first place it works great. Here is the wiring diagram that should be the same for yours. Just run a Jumper from R1 to R2 then R2 to the thermostart. I only checked for power in acc. and will go out tomorrow and see if power shows up in start. I'm guesing it does with the jumper.Anyone know on a YM2000 just in case I don't show any to it in start? Thanx

Thanks for the diagram. My book has the same diagram but there wasn't any label on it so I did not know that was what it was for. My ignition switch died years ago so I just put in a standard automotive switch. That's why I am using a push button one for the TS. I can hold it in prior to cranking the engine and during start up. I should have the switch, breaker and wiring done tonight and we'll see how it works tomorrow. Got the TS and hoses finished today.

If I had to use it often in real cold climate being able to hold the power on to the TS makes sense while starting. Curiosity is almost getting me to runout real quick and check. I've had it over 3yrs now and only had to use it Maybe 2 or 3 times so it can wait. What gets me is why it was disconnected or not even wired in the first place. Another sign of being a VN. import. That was the last thing that needed to be done besides no blinkers but Hey!! the Horn still works. ;)

That's kind of funny, I just finished taking the blinkers and horn off mine. Never used the horn and the critters in my woods never paid any attention to the blinkers anyway:laughing:

Your horn may not sound like mine but I use mine whenever I want my wife to smile. She thinks it sounds funny.:D

I know what you mean about how it sounds. I couldn't even begin to describe what it sounded like. I thought at one time about putting a car horn on it so my wife could hear it and bring me something to drink. She said I would be wasting my money:laughing:

Got the TS installed and wired up. It heats up just fine but no fuel in the bowl. Just how does the injector fuel return work? Supposedly, this setup will keep the bowl full. It was warm enough today to start the tractor without the TS and I let it run for a couple of minutes but no fuel showed up in the bowl:confused:

I don't know anything about the way the injector return works so maybe it will take a while for it fill the bowl? If I don't get fuel in the bowl the TS will never work.

I think it should work OK even without the autofill. Just open the top cap and pour in some fuel. It holds enough for a lot of thermostarts. Each actuation only uses a few drops.
